      <description>&lt;p&gt;Microsoft has published &lt;a href=&#34;http://www.macupdate.com/info.php/id/8431&#34;&gt;second beta&lt;/a&gt; of the &lt;a href=&#34;http://www.microsoft.com/mac/otherproducts/otherproducts.aspx?pid=remotedesktopclient&#34;&gt;Remote Desktop Connection 2&lt;/a&gt;, for Mac. There is not an obvious GUI option to set that you want to login in console mode. &lt;a href=&#34;http://www.macosxhints.com/article.php?story=20050312113258436&#34;&gt;Previous hints&lt;/a&gt; related to RDC 1 are not applicable - saved .rdp files are now .plist files.&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;The solution is quite simple though:&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;img src=&#34;https://aplus.rs/images/mac/rdc2.png&#34; alt=&#34;RDC login dialog, with /console option added&#34;&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;Add /console after the name and you&amp;rsquo;re good to go.&lt;/p&gt;
