Download aplus theme
Current design of my blog is made as WP theme, but with lots of elements that would not make sense to someone else. As such, it was not suitable to be offered for download. I started working on drop-in ready theme, but did not have much time to spend on it.
WordPress theme competition, initiated by Alex King, urged me to finish this up and now you can download aplus theme and use if you like.
The theme is not identical to what I use here, but keeps all its good parts. Time since and time of day plugins are integrated into the theme, as well as ADxMenu with this current design. Theme can easily be customized - you can change the photo, move elements around - if you know your way through CSS, you’ll have no problems.
Theme uses gravatars just like this one is, but don’t worry if you don’t have Gravatar plugin. The code will first check for the existence of the plugin. I put CUSTOMIZE: in few files. There you can put your own stuff, like I did with Sparks box on the home page.
There are several page templates, which are used for monthly and category archives, feeds and themes.
You can check the theme first, using theme switcher in the top menu.
Download and enjoy. Please report back problems you experience with the theme.
I initially published this as GPL, since I wanted to enter the competition. However, it seems that ADxMenu.htc, which is published under CC Attribution can’t be included inside of GPL-licensed theme. This does not affect the theme usage - all my content is published as CC-BY, so you can use it anyway.
If I sort this out, I’ll update it here.
